The seven sheets depicting grotesque fairytale sceneries were held in Linton´s late private collection in Hamden/CT. The very lively drawings are executed in the manner of George Cruikshank´s phantastic illustrations of Grimm´s popular German tales and are partly reminiscent of Thomas Sibson´s emblematic Bob Thin-illustrations.
